Hooray! I was on vacation! REALLY on vacation, not just taking a week off from work to organise our wedding or get married or be sick.

We went to the loveliest little vacation house in the middle of 19 hectars of privately-owned woods. It had all the amenities you could dream of - including a tile oven!

We went walking in the woods and on the Lüneburger Heide. I thought I'd spend a lot of time sketching, but in the woods there weren't any extraordinary vistas, and on the Heide we didn't have too much time because it was our last day and we had to go pick up the guinea pigs from my mother's on the way home. And it was a tad too brisk in the evening to sit and sketch outside the house.

But we took lots of pictures, so maybe I'll make some holiday sketches from those!

We also went to the Turmhügelburg in Lütjenburg for a day where they were filming a documentary on dwarves in fairy tales. Check out ARTE in three to six months and you might see Arne and me playing "average villager"!
